Our Vision Correction Options
Every patient’s eyes are unique. That’s why Insight Eye Specialists offers multiple advanced vision correction procedures rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
LASIK
LASIK is the most well-known laser vision correction procedure and has helped millions of people reduce or eliminate their dependence on glasses and contact lenses.
Using advanced laser technology, LASIK gently reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. The procedure is quick, virtually painless, and most patients notice improved vision within 24 hours.
LASIK is an excellent option for many patients with healthy eyes, stable prescriptions, and adequate corneal thickness.
Benefits of LASIK
- Quick procedure
- Rapid visual recovery
- Minimal discomfort
- Long-lasting vision correction
- Reduced dependence on glasses and contacts
PRK
PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) is another highly effective laser vision correction procedure. Like LASIK, PRK uses an excimer laser to reshape the cornea and correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
Unlike LASIK, PRK does not require creating a corneal flap, making it an excellent option for many patients with thinner corneas, certain corneal conditions, or occupations and activities where preserving corneal integrity is especially important.
Although recovery is somewhat longer than LASIK, PRK provides outstanding long-term visual results.
Benefits of PRK
- No corneal flap
- Excellent long-term vision
- Great option for thinner corneas
- Ideal for many active lifestyles
EVO ICL
EVO ICL is an advanced lens-based vision correction procedure that offers an excellent alternative for many patients who may not be candidates for laser vision correction.
Rather than reshaping the cornea, EVO ICL works by placing a tiny, biocompatible lens inside the eye to correct nearsightedness and astigmatism while preserving the natural cornea.
EVO ICL may be an ideal option for patients with higher prescriptions, thinner corneas, or those who have previously been told they were not candidates for LASIK.
Benefits of EVO ICL
- Outstanding visual quality
- Quick recovery
- Built-in UV protection
- Preserves the natural cornea
- Removable if vision needs change in the future
Which Vision Correction Procedure Is Right for Me?
You don’t have to decide—that’s our job.
During your complimentary Vision Correction Consultation, our surgeons will evaluate your eyes and determine whether LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL, or another treatment is the best option based on your:
- Prescription
- Corneal thickness
- Eye health
- Lifestyle
- Vision goals
Every recommendation is personalized because no two eyes are exactly alike.
Not a Candidate for LASIK?
You may still be a candidate for vision correction.
Many patients who are not ideal LASIK candidates are excellent candidates for PRK or EVO ICL.
Our goal isn’t to recommend a specific procedure—it’s to recommend the procedure that provides the safest approach and the best possible visual outcome for your eyes.
